For over 30 years, get2Card has been offering a simple way to enjoy leisure, cultural, and dining experiences for two—while saving money. What began in 1987 as a “Dinner for Two” voucher book has evolved steadily over the years: one-time vouchers have become flexible offers that can now be used as often as desired.
The introduction of the get2Card marked the first time this principle was digitized, and today, the modern get2App makes the experience even more convenient: all offers are available digitally, companions can be invited via a link, and integrated navigation takes you directly to your destination. Instead of a physical card, all you need now is a quick check in the app—fast, flexible, and paperless.

A major task in modernizing get2App was to seamlessly integrate the new app into the existing PHP system.
Learnings
System integration & database analysis in the inventory system
Dealing with mature, complex legacy systems and structured analysis of a third-party SQL database. Identification of relevant tables in the existing PHP Yii backend, analysis of data flows, correct integration of new users and bookings to ensure compatibility with the existing admin interface.
Modern app development with Flutter & UX optimization
Application of proven Flutter patterns in the implementation of a modern, user-friendly app design. Implementation of a specified design with meaningful UX improvements, development for iOS and Android based on Flutter, reuse and consolidation of own programming patterns and architectural decisions.
API-Integration & Infrastruktur-Migration
Setup and connection of a modern backend (NestJS) to an existing system as well as infrastructure migration. Development of a new NestJS server to control the old database, correct mapping of processes via new API endpoints, migration to a new server environment including IP and domain adjustment for smooth operation.
